EDITING SOFTWARE

Final Cut Express will be used to edit my music video as it's considered one of the advanced pieces of l editing software available to students and professionals. It is almost at a professional level and offers many features to help create a great project. A great advantage is that the software makes the process of editing much more efficient and quick. The software also offers countless high-quality visual filters, which allows you to add your own personality to the project while remaining very professional. 

Different elements of final cut will be used such as audio waveforms. This is where we can see where the sound peaks and falls throughout the song, making it easier when positioning certain shots to specific beats.

Another main feature we are using is the lock button for the song. This means we are able to lock the song into place, restricting any mistakes such as accidentally removing parts if the song which has happened before in previous edits. 

A feature we are considering using in the final edit is colour correction. Some of the narrative shots are shot in the same room however some have a light switched on, we will use colour correction to dim the shots to make them as similar to the other shots as we possibly can.
