At this time, the storyboard contains 47 different shots, however in total there will be 155 shots in total, including some repeated shots. These ideas are bound to change as this is my first draft of my storyboard and when it comes to filming, I may change my mind on the structure or we may think another shot may be more suited. A lot of equipment is required including, 2 electric guitars, an acoustic guitar, a drum kit and a keyboard.

SHOT LIST

Storyboard shot list from joecburn

This is a shot list of the multitude of shots that we will use in the making of the final edit of our music video. Some shots are repeated throughout of the video, however there is a total of 47 different shots.

STUDIO TEST FOOTAGE

This segment of our filming is a test to see how the studio will work and look when filming the live performance part of our music video.
After this test we discovered that we will need to provide our own instruments from home, and also that instead of using the college video cameras, we will use the cameras provided in the studio for the full professional studio effect. We may use this specific shot in the final edit of our music video, but we will see how it fits in when making our first few drafts.

ACTORS

Name: Jake Lee
Age: 17
Role: Jake's role in this project is to participate as the bass play in the band during the performance      segments of the music video. His backstory is that he is suffering from an illness, showing the audience that there is more to music videos than a broken heart. In fact, Little Black Submarines are also known as cancer cells, which relates to Jake's story well as well as the title of the song.

Name: Curtis Jones
Age: 17
Role: Curtis' role in this music video is to play the drums during the live performance by the band. His backstory is that he is struggling to get through to someone on the phone, it is portrayed that it is urgent however it is left up to the audience to interpret who he may be trying to get in contact with.

Name: Tom Marsden
Age: 17
Role: Tom's role in our project is rhythm guitarist and lead singer, showing that he has probably the most common problem faced with society in his backstory; a problem with his girlfriend. It is left up to the audience what the problem may be, we have left 'breadcrumbs' to help the audience come to their decision.

Name: Joe Burn
Age: 19
Role: Joe's role is to be the band's lead guitarist in their live performance. His backstory consists of a feud between his sister, but it is up to the audience to decide what the problem is, how it may relate to them. The feud develops and they argue, but make up in the end, although Joe's character does not look too pleased, portraying to the audience that sometimes sacrifices have to be made for family.

Name: Rebecca Walters
Age: 18
Role: Rebecca will play the role of 'Girl 1' in reference to the storyboard, shot list and idea log. She will play 'Boy 1's' sister and will be responsible for his low mood and will appear in the music video to argue with him and then make up with him.

Name: Nathan Heron
Age: 18
Role: Nathan's character has not been refereed to in the story board or shot list as he is a newly developed character to accompany the new version of 'Boy 4' in his narrative performance. This characters name is 'Friend 1' in reference to the idea log.

Each characters role in the band and narrative are likely to change if we meet problems with limitations on props, better narrative ideas and so on.
